Why donate? Because they are depending on YOU…..

How can people abandon them?
Sadly, one out of every four animals born in the United States becomes homeless. During peak seasons, you would be surprised at the intakes on any given day. There are far more animals than responsible homes in our community. Your SPCA needs your help to deal with animal neglect, cruelty and overpopulation.

Your help can make a difference.
R-H SPCA is a non-profit Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals founded in Rockingham County, serving the county, Harrisonburg and surrounding jurisdictions. It does not receive funding from any national or government program. It does rely on the public for operational support. Help provide a happy ending for a stay at the SPCA.

Donate

This shelter has been aiding and adopting homeless animals to loving homes only through your help. We rely on private donations, gifts and bequests to meet the operating costs.

Please help our cause, and help the abused, neglected and homeless animals of our area with your gifts of financial gifts, time and/or materials.

You provide second chances ……

Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA has been making second chances possible for countless adoptable pets since 1975.

Loyal supporters contribute, helping meet the ongoing need for income to support the mission and impact the animals of our community.

Your gifts are used where the needs and opportunities are greatest.

Your generous contribution to the R-H SPCA helps us come one step closer to the ultimate goal; finding permanent, loving homes for every homeless, abandoned, and unwanted pets.

The Mission . . .

To promote respect, compassion, education, and advocacy resulting in a humane and sustainable environment for all animals.

In 2007 your SPCA provided shelter to 4,500 furry friends. The cost of providing food, shelter and medical care is funded primarily through gifts from our Circle of Friends who understand our commitment to finding permanent, loving homes for the Valley’s homeless pets.

Won’t you consider joining with others in this Circle of Friends?

Your gifts are used to provide shelter, food and care to abandoned and unwanted pets until a loving home can be found.

Though an adoption fee is charged, it covers only a fraction of the cost of care from intake to placement in a permanent home. Without your support, SPCA would find it impossible to expand the services and programs available to the community.

A Mission without Funding . . . . is a Dream

Your SPCA is committed to finding permanent, loving homes for the countless abandoned and unwanted pets that are placed in our care.

We provide a safe and nurturing environment until they can be placed into loving homes. Through public education and community outreach, the SPCA seeks to promote respect for all life.

We rely on donations to support the good works of the dedicated staff. It’s through your compassion and support that we are able to care for thousands of homeless and forsaken pets in our community each year. We not only depend upon your generosity, we greatly appreciate all gifts and donations!
