Supporting homeless pets in one of the best acts of kindness. The R-H SPCA depends on contributions from the public and proceeds from fundraising efforts to carry out our daily mission of rescue, rehabilitation and finding homes for countless dogs and cats. Your donations support the care of the animals whose lives and well being depend on the staff. Each donation is a gift of caring for those who have no speech to tell of their needs. There are still far too many homeless animals in the Rockingham / Harrisonburg area. They arrive daily and we try to find good homes for each and every one of them. We can’t do that without your help. Every dollar you give goes to operating the shelter.
Tribute Giving
Sometimes words are not enough! A gift to support the R-H SPCA is an excellent way to pay tribute to a friend, neighbor or loved one. Or, recognize a special occasion. A means to say thanks for an outreach of kindness. Remember the passing of a friend or neighbor with a gift in memory. Include with your gift information about who you are paying tribute and we will send acknowledge to inform of your thoughtfulness.
Spay/Neuter Fund
The R-H SPCA wants to stop pet over population in our region. It plans to develop programs to offer reduced cost spays and neuters for companion animals in the community. Spaying and neutering pets lowers the number of animals the end up in our shelter. Many of these animals never find homes. Mark your gift to be used for Spay/Neuter.
NOVA Fund
While medical care and vaccinations are available to all the pets that come to us, sometimes injured or sick pets are brought to us for care. Extra-ordinary medical intervention is only offered through the NOVA fund. If you want to see more injuries cared for, mark your gift to be used for NOVA.
Support Through Workplace Giving
Augusta United Way, Merck and Virginia Commonwealth Campaign are a few that offer payroll deductions for the R-H SPCA. Does your workplace offer something like this? Join the countless others in our Circle of Friends that have gifts taken directly from their paychecks.
