Humane education teaches people to recognize and accept responsibility for animals, and to understand the consequences of irresponsible behavior.

The Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA strives to promote healthy relationships between people and animals in our community. We provide a variety of programs to schools, civic groups, scout troops and churches by request.

Programs can be presented on your campus or as part of an SPCA shelter tour. Please see the "programs" page for more information and to find out how you can take advantage of what we have to offer!

Students and teachers from Minnieland Day Care visited the shetler on June 18th for a program and tour. What a great group of students! They were so quiet and attentive and had such good questions for me! Thanks to the students and their families for bringing some much needed items for the pets, too!
