Just for Kids!

Humane Education Programs

A room full of elementary school students stands to practice how to greet a strange dog.

Tours & Field Trips

We welcome field trips and groups who'd like a tour of the RHSPCA. Tours are tailored for age-appropriate topics and include opportunities to meet pets.
A group of young children stand with a canine visitor.

Classroom Visits

We can bring a program (and hopefully a pet as well) to you! We're happy to address a relevant topic for your curriculum to reach your SOL goals.
An older child sits with a small, fluffy white dog. They are looking out of frame together.

Kids' Club

Kids 4-8 may apply to join our Kids Club to work with adoptable pets with a parent or guardian. (delayed for the foreseeable future)

Youth Volunteer Programs

Junior Volunteer Program:
Children ages 7 and older may volunteer with a parent or guardian present. The parent/guardian must first fill out an application and attend an orientation with the child. Then, they will be permitted to walk dogs and pet cats together.
