Position Overview The Marketing and Fundraising Intern reports directly to the Marketing and Fundraising Manager for tasks, and to the Volunteer Coordinator to log their hours. This position is responsible for supporting the Marketing and Fundraising Manager in a variety of ways.
Job Functions/Duties
Help write and edit the newsletter
Craft emails to supporters
Develop a library of media to use in future campaigns
Design collateral for social media marketing and events
Write radio advertising scripts
Create print ads
Research best practices for social media marketing
Submit ideas for marketing programs designed to enhance and grow the organization’s brand, based on previously mentioned research
Perform data entry and clerical tasks
Assist at fundraising events
Education/Experience Must be a self-starter, independent worker, have good writing and technology skills, and a strong work ethic. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie, Canva, and Google Suite is desired.
Role Benefits This role would be great for anyone aspiring to work in marketing, graphic design, or advertising later in life. This role is important because additional exposure of our brand helps increase the exposure of our animals, thus helping them get adopted quickly.
Duration The internship will last for 6 months, minimum, and the requested time allowance is 5 hours per week. However, you’re always welcome to help more, if able.
