Another update on Frygga, we can't get enough!

Just another quick update on our 'precious girl'...

We adopted a Husky puppy who needed a home; they are quickly becoming best of friends
They look so happy together! Thank you for rescuing a friend for her. We always advocate adoption since adopting from any group helps everyone trying to find homes for orphaned pets. Thank you for opening your heart to a new friend!

Orville, who loves belly rubs!

Hello,

I wanted to update you all (even though it's been a few years) on my wonderful dog Orville I brought home from RHSPCA almost five years ago. I was a JMU student and RHSPCA volunteer and Orville decided I was "his person". We have been best friends ever since. I now work in veterinary medicine in Washington, DC and Orville still loves his belly rubs. Thank you so much for all you do.

It was absolutely our pleasure! Thank you SO much for giving our sweet Helena a home!

Hi there!
I'm sure this isn't the right place to be emailing you all, but I just wanted to give you an update on our TWO beautiful pups we rescued from you all - Dingo is now a little over a year old and has been with us since September. He is a TOTAL mama's boy, and lives to chase the ball or frisbee. He came with me everywhere until we got Leo (formerly Diamond) who we've had for close to two months now. Leo has gained 20 pounds, received corrective surgery on his eye and ended up having a tumor removed from his right side. He has come to love his baby brother and allows him to think he's "top dog." Poor guy puts up with a lot! He also loves to annihilate balls and bones, and loves to play with the tiny dogs at the dog park. Both boys love to hike and go for car rides, and after the initial adjustment have become best friends. Thank you SO much for blessing us with these beautiful babies. They are our whole world (:

I may be back for a third soon (;

Email us however you want! We LOVE seeing happy adopters and adoptees!!! Thank you for sharing! :)

Neena

Hey RHSPCA!

I wanted to share an adoption update 9 years in the making!

I adopted Neena from you 9 years ago in May of 2008. At the time, she was a 2 year old stray and I was a college student volunteering with the shelter. We met and the rest is history. Since then, we have been inseparable. She has been with me through a career change, multiple moves, and a marriage. This little old lady is still going strong! We just started working in K9 Nosework (which she loves!) and are hoping to start competition this summer! We've been on so many adventures- hiking, camping, and going to the beach. She is still absolutely the love of my life ️ Thank you for helping my find my best friend!

Best,
Jessie

Jon Bone Jovi, now Mowgli

PictureHappy dogs!
Hello,
I just wanted to update you on Jon Bone Jovi, who has been renamed Mowgli. Mowgli has adjusted wonderfully to his new home! He is happy, healthy, and adores his sister, Maddie. Mowgli has helped to make Maddie more active and social as well as provided her with a friend while my husband and I are at work. Thank you to everyone who helped in the adoption process of Mowgli, he has been a great addition to our family!
Best Wishes,
Sydney and Phillip

Veronicat, now Calypso

Dear SPCA,
A month ago I adopted a Veronicat, now named Calypso. I just wanted to tell you that she is the best little cat I could ever ask for. I have found that she is a very good emotional support animal when I need it. When she isn’t helping me she spends lots of time snuggling in bed and climbing on her scratching posts. Thank you so much for helping me find the best cat for me. I really love her and I am glad that she is part of my family.

George Hairyson, Now Dover

Just wanted to drop a note to thank you all so much! His new name is Dover. He is now responding to his name and started to gain a little weight. He has fit in nicely and mostly likes to relax on his bed. He has had no accidents in the house and loves to be outside.

A special thank you to all the workers and volunteers at SPCA that cared for him and even gave him a good bath before his surgery!

We are so excited that he has joined our family!
