Our rescue group partnerships are all about helping pets find permanent, loving homes! We're so proud to work with the ASPCA's transport program to bring dogs from high-intake shelters to high-adoption rescue partners all over the place. Here are some photos from transport day!
Transports, especially across state lines, take more than just coordinating a driver. All these dogs had to get a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, get heartworm tested, and treatment for all parasites and diseases before they could leave (not to mention vaccines and boosters). We certainly don't want to accidentally send something extra!
Our rescue group partners want to know all about the animals they accept, so multiple photos and temperament descriptions are all part of the manifest. It's a labor of love, and we're happy to see them go on to forever homes! Multiple people on the team work together to get these transports organized and help the animals get ready to go; as always, team work makes the dream work!
