Jerome's Transformation

Jerome Kern upon intake as a stray. He's a black and white senior dog with a graying face. He's very skinny and has very little fur on his back end.
Back in May, an older, skinny dog arrived at our shelter as a stray. His itchy skin showing symptoms of chronic allergies, he had very little fur on his back end. Gray-faced and clearly not feeling very good, he spent a lot of time napping while we consulted with our veterinarian on how to help him out.

De-wormings, good meals, and several medicated baths later, his personality began sparkling through as he started feeling better. Our old man started getting his energy back, chasing toys and gleefully tossing them into the air just to pounce on them again. His snaggle teeth gave him a unique smile and when he got excited, he'd "boo-woo-woo!" He had a uphill battle between his age and his skin issues to find his home, but his personality and temperament could shine through to the right person.

Last week, Jerome Kern finally met his match! A nice family with another senior pup to share his life with. Thank you so much for seeing the best in our old man!

Jerome Kern, filled out and at a healthy weight. His face is rounded out and he's looking at the camera while a young mother and her son pose next to him.
